In his educational and entertaining wine seminars, Jerry Greenfield brings a common feeling and sense of discovery that’s enjoyed by everyone who likes wine, whether a beginner or confirmed collector.
He is a regular wine columnist to several newspapers and magazines, hosts wine dinners at several restaurants, and is former Wine Director of the Southwest Florida Wine & Food Festival, which has grown to be one of the top 10 charity wine events in America.
He has published several books, including Secrets of the Wine Whisperer, a chronicle of how he and his wife Debi discovered wine. The book describes how their passion for wine changed their lives, and brought them to new places, new adventures, and wonderful new friends.
Jerry holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Florida, and has been Creative Director and Senior Account Supervisor with advertising agencies in Florida and the Midwest, specializing in television and radio broadcast production, script writing, corporate identity and positioning, creative and marketing strategies, and market research and analysis.
He has produced and directed network television commercials, winning many awards for his creative work on behalf of local, regional, and international clients.
He is Wine Director of Direct Cellars, an international wine club with over 20,000 members. Jerry is the wine columnist for Florida Weekly, an arts and entertainment newspaper published throughout South Florida. He also teaches wine classes at the School of Hospitality and Resort Management at Florida Gulf Coast University. The author of four books, he is a licensed pilot, certified fitness instructor, and college writing professor. He is often invited by professional groups and associations to present seminars on advertising techniques and enhancing creativity.
Jerry is a member of the prestigious Society of Wine Educators, and has been known to drink beer at sporting events.
